  3. before Yoseob BEAST in Cube Entertainment, he trained in JYP Entertainment and transfered to M Boat Entertainment.

Jiyoon, Gayoon, and Sohyun 4Minute are from JYP entertainment, transfered to Cube Entertainment.

please tolerated if wrong, this is just my knowledge.
btw, thank you so much for this page :)

    • Ahh, really? I’ll trust your word then and add it to the info! Thanks for sharing (:

gna was trained under good ent then jyp then cube.

notice that most jyp went to cube or a cube. that is because a cube and cube are under jyp companies

    • renee
    • July 3rd, 2011

jungmin from SS501 didn’t really train under SM Ent right? Both SM and DSP wanted to sign him but in the end he chose DSP and trained under DSP

  4. before Kahi After School in Pledis Entertainment, she trained under SM Entertainment :)

    • JeyAthena
    • July 10th, 2011

Jaehyo didn’t just transfer from Cube Entertainment to Brand New Stardom… right? I don’t remember it being so simple… Hm…

    • I’m not entirely sure about that either..but until I find something that proves this info otherwise, I’ll leave it this way

      • yuki
      • February 22nd, 2012

jaehyo transfer from cube ent.. to brand new stardom.. but he also a trainee for LOEN entertainment.. and DSP Media.. but i don’t know the sequence though..

    JYJ
SM Entertainment → CJes Entertainment :)

    • ashbelle
    • August 4th, 2011

why a lot of former JYP ent. trainees?
is that hard to train under JYP?
    kekeke….just wondering…

    • JYP has a great training program but they train their trainees for a loooong time (example is Jo Kwon from 2AM; he trained for eight years). So most of them who have trained for an extensive period of time usually switch over to another agency to debut sooner.

      • toolate
      • January 30th, 2012

and as I know, train under JYP is not easy, your report score must be good. if not, you can’t train under JYP.

        • Nanz
        • October 22nd, 2012

yess.. agree with that.. JYP concern about his trainees’ and idols’ education..

        • baekhun
        • November 16th, 2012

but sm is famous for it’s slave-like-training, so any artist who came out of sm must be either talented or has godlike face

    • Jin-young could be quite picky you know?

    • alexa
    • August 18th, 2011

    omg.
i did not know that CL was orginally in JYP
or that G Dragon trained in SM
nor Kahi also trained in SM
as well as Hyori training in Sm before
Wow. SM lost a LOT of AMAZING trainees – due to the slave contract i guess :/

      • BF13
      • September 15th, 2011

As I see JYP loses the most.
And pls, who can be sure contracts with JYP and YG are greater than SM’s. Take KARA issuses as an example :)

Anyway, I’m also suprised to know about G-Dragon, Kahi.

      • i think gd transfer because he wasn’t sure if he’ll debut because sm just make him like dancer..

      • baekhun
      • November 16th, 2012

well you need to pay some fee you’ve spent in your trainee days if you’re about to leave sm, so not many trainee left sm compare to jyp. that’s what i heard, it’s written in the contract, at least your contract expired you don’t need to pay anything

    • Miyoung Geun
    • August 30th, 2011

Wasn’t Raina originally from SM ent.? Then she transferred to Pledis?

    • No. She was a trainee under JYP Entertainment.

However, she was a former student of SM Academy, which is an academy runned and owned by SM Entertainment.
SM Academy is a school that specializes in dancing, singing and acting. It kinda sounds like she was trained under SMent, but it’s really just like a “school for the arts”. After graduating SM Academy you move on to be a trainee, and then you finally debut!

    • Diamond

I dont care if they are recycled! Cube artists ROCKS! Better then the top!

    • crenmao
    • October 15th, 2011

wow.. JYP had an huge army on trainees.. i wonder how they were able to provide for all of them

didn’t know that Le HyoRi, GD, Kahi and Zico were originally under SME ._.

and why th do you call cube artists ‘recycled’ ..? sounds horrible
    use refined or polished

    • Diamond
    • October 17th, 2011

Exactly!I think that you are 100% right on this fact! I am also baffled by how JYP can provide for so many trainees and singers all at 1 shot.

    • Fany
    • October 28th, 2011

I thought IU was under SM Ent. but she’s in LOEN??

    • Fany :
I thought IU was under SM Ent. but she’s in LOEN??

from what I know, IU was a JYP audition but never was from SMe. So she’s LOEN since the beginning after being rejected at JYP

  6. Yoseob was really really work hard i proud of him

  7. So Raina is ex-JYP? I think she is ex-SM, since she had studied in SM Academy…

    • cn
    • December 8th, 2011

… g-d trained from yg since he was little… GD was never SM…
    kahi was from yg …
CL was never from jyp. she was with yg from the start.
    jsut had to correct.

    • December 18th, 2011

So crazy is the kpop star….i wonder what is the target of they transfered from their real agency to the other agency like now?Im so confused…

      • baekhun
      • November 16th, 2012

for example sm, the possibility for trainee to debut is small and you need to be one of the top trainee. when someone sees that they wont able to debut in one agency they move to other agency, thats one of the reason, the other reason maybe the agency music’s style doesnt match one. take gd for example, he was more to hip hop and free music while sm’s music style is kind of orchestra thing

    • onyunyu
    • December 18th, 2011

why does so many JYP trainees transferred to cube ?
i heard that cube is a kind of JYP’s entertainment sister or somewhat.
is it true? how can it be?
can anyone answer me? i’m lil bit confuse bout it. thanks :D
i heard that G.Na was trained at JYP at first but she’s transfered to cube. is that true?

  8. wow alot of JYP yeah……

Chorong is also initially from JYP entertainment rite???but now she’s in ACube Entertainment.

  10. wow i realized how all my bias’s now were once SMe or JYP trainees… they lost big time of talents like GD and Zico (wow they trained under same place!!)

    • appletasteyeollipop
    • February 11th, 2012

    sungyeol from sm to woolim

    • Kallen_Langely
    • February 18th, 2012

G-Dragon and Zico were originally trainees under SM Entertainment..? O___O K-pop would be VERY different if they remained under those labels. They definitely transferred for the better. ♥

    • starletgurlz
    • February 21st, 2012

JYP sure a big trained field..there’s a lot of former trainees of JYP…to stay under JYP labels the one must have strong will i heard their training program were the hardest…

    • nn
    • March 6th, 2012

wait gayoon is not from jyp. she is from SM

    other ex-SM trainees:

  11. If I was not mistaken, Soyou(Sistar) switched from Cube(with 4Minute) to the label she’s under now(not quite sure, Starship?)

    • Renisha
    • March 17th, 2012

Jang Dongwoo and Lee Howon (Hoya) from Infinite were trainees for JYPE and switched over to Woollim Entertainment.

    • Maria
    • March 23rd, 2012

i scrolled through this long list to confirm whether jang geun suk trained under sm but no mention of him

  12. G-Dragon never trained under SM ent. YG Family has asked him to become their trainee since they are 13 years old (6 grade school), and SM didn’t take a trainee if they aren’t old enough just like Kai EXO, he was originally accept in SM at the age 12 but they told him to come back after 2 years, so he did. But GD never come to SM, even YG was come himself to GD’s house helping him begging to his mother for becoming a YG trainee

    • GD did come to SM , Because he said it himself and its even on news

      • baekhun
      • November 16th, 2012

    • April 1st, 2012

i just noticed, there’s not a single artist took training from other labels have transferred to SM Entertainment. Is it because SME has high standards or may be they want to personally mold their artists perfectly for stardom. :) well, they sure got the best artists in the industry. :)

    • ChaeYo
    • April 26th, 2012

The reason why Jaehyo left Cube was because he sustained a knee injury, which underwent surgery for. If it hadn’t been for that then he would’ve probably been a part of B2ST.

  13. as i knew Lu Han (EXO-M) like that too.. from JYP Ent to SM Ent…

      • ciiii
      • July 16th, 2012

Luhan say in reality show “he said that the staff of SM told him to join with SM in a shopping center,,,

    • kae-chan
    • June 24th, 2012

Yoobin of Wonder Girls was from Cube Ent. before going to JYP Ent. Its like they exchanged rappers. HyunAh (4 Minute) from JYP Ent to Cube Ent. and Yoobin (Wonder Girls) from Cube Ent to JYP Ent.

  18. Wow, most of the mains of groups that transferred to a different company was SM’s trainees. I guess SM couldn’t debut them in time so they got transferred xD

  19. luhan of exo m was a trainee of JYP before going into SM

      • baekhun
      • November 16th, 2012

no, luhan and baekhyun did auditioned for jyp but didn’t accepted. but they got to sm instead LOL.
jyp did require some noticeable talent from the beginning but sm is famous to train from nothing to something

    • kckc1289

Sunny from Girl’s Generation was a Starlight Entertainment’s ex-trainee. she was a member of a duet called ‘Sugar’, but she never debuted. then someone recomended her to switch to SM. she refused at first because she was afraid that she would be called a cheater or something (coz SM was owned by her uncle, Lee Soo Man). but in the end, she gave up and she debuted as an SM artist with the Girl’s Generation that we know now…

I was looking for Sunny’s name all the time but I couldn’t find it. so I hope that you’ll add her name soon coz I just love Girl’s Generation. thanks so much!!^^

I like to hear G-dragon now In YG Ent. I don’t know what he is when he in SM Ent. haha XD
IT IS like ..Who has get transfer is from JYP Ent. :))

  22. wow!!! so many people really wants to be a trainee on JYP!!! but only a few of them can be, lucky, miss a, wonder girls etc…
if g-dragon debuted as a suju member, i think it wouldnt suit him, his more of bad boy, cool image.

  23. I wonder if they got kicked out of these companies or if they left because they found better options for them and accepted any offers.
I also wonder how they’d be like now if they kept with their original companies like GD with SM and CL with JYP haha
