Are you eventually going to group everything together? Like All the bands in one company near each other and the companies in alphabetical order. Just wondering. Thanks for this anyway!

    • Yes! I was kinda too lazy to do that when I first made this, but I promise you I shall eventually soon organize it better.

  1. isn’t Miss A in J.Y.P Entertainment not J-Tune Entertainment

    • Nope. Miss A. has been signed on to J. Tune Camp since the New Year, I assure you.

      • So they used to be in J.Y.P now their in J.Tune?
How come their in J.Tune now instead of J.Y.P did they quit J.Y.P

      • Yes. They started out in JYP, but then got transfered to J.Tune Camp. If you check our “AGENICES/ RECORD LABELS” page on top, you will find that J.Tune Camp is a sub unit of JYP Entertainment, created by Rain himself. Rain was under JYP until he decided to create his own label, which is in fact J.Tune. Therefore, J.Tune is a sub unit – to some extent – of JYP, and it is completely normal for Miss A. to have been transfered to J.Tune.

If I still am not making any sense, Miss A. is allowed to work with JYP still because J.Tune is a sub unit of JYP, but all credit goes to J.Tune.

isn’t 2am and 2pm is from the same agency?
can i give a suggestion? I feel is much better if you put together every boy band, girl band and solo artists if they have same agency. I’m a bit confused because they are separate. would be easier if they unite.
but you guys are great, have made it all. Thank you.

    • 2AM and 2PM are NOT under the same agency. They seem like it, but they are under separate ones. They are able to work together because Big Hit Entertainment is a sub unit of JYP Entertainment… understand?

That is a good idea! Maybe I’ll add that (:

Is U-kiss now under LOEN Entertainment or are they just posting their new music video 0330 for NH Media on youtube?

    • Well, I honestly don’t know the reason why 0330 is under LOEN Entertainment’s YouTube account.
However, I DO know that U-Kiss has NOT transferred to LOEN Ent.

      • renee
      • July 3rd, 2011

    • Awww, really? Thank you for this!

        • December 4th, 2011

Jqt isnt even of loen and neither is piggy dolls, n sonic or baek ji young. I dont know y ppl wrote it on wikipedia but it is fake. On loen site, they wrote that they supports only IU, SUNNY HILLS, ZIA, and RU-N. and those r the only ones as of now.

  5. aren’t you adding solo artists?
Oh and just helping. You can add miss $ to brand new stardom ent 😀

    • REN
    • October 22nd, 2011

I heard that there are J.Tune Entertainment and J.Tune Camp.

MBLAQ belongs to J.Tune Camp, which doesn’t relate anything to JYPE.

Miss A and Rain belongs to J.Tune Entertainment.

    • J. Tune Entertainment and J. Tune Camp are the same company.
      J. Tune Camp is a sub-unit of JYP, created by Rain himself, who was once under JYP’s contract, until he broke off and created his own label – J. Tune Camp.

As far as I know, Cube Entertainment was never been the sister company of JYP. It was just said like that because the CEO of Cube Entertainment has worked years ago for JYP and he just had an idea to establish an entertainment company because of that work experienced. 🙂

  9. Is Wheesung in YMC Entertainment with Ailee??

    • Legit
    • April 20th, 2012

i wonder how does one form a record label/company. Sounds cool. Hard too. If you just started, hard to get people to audition for you :/ And to hire the music mixers, trainers needa be a billionaire for that..

  10. miss A, Wonder Girls, 2AM and 2PM are still in the same company and that is JYPE.
But I know miss A is also under of AQ Entertainment. AQ is just a sub-unit of JYPE. So that concludes that they are STILL in the same company. Don’t you notice that every time Suzy gives her thank you speech, she includes JYPE and AQ. :))))

  11. And the time that Suzy and Min guested in Strong Heart, Seung Gi asked them how they joined JYPE. They even had a debate with Leeteuk,Shindong and Se7en about which is the best company to audition. And they defended for JYPE. ^^

    • August 5th, 2012

I guess there’s a bit of misunderstanding, since I can see beside a lot of entertainments the text “formed by LOEN”. These entertainments are NOT formed by LOEN, they are independent main units. They are only _distributed_ by LOEN – which means LOEN helps advertising them by uploading their videos on their channel too, but it’s the only connection with Cube Entertainment, Pledis Entertainment, TS Entertainment and TOP Media, for example. And I guess that’s the same with the others.

Hey Sumandu, you have so much priceless information on here! I am an expert electronic music producer trying to make contacts in the Kpop realm. Do you have any advice on getting instrumentals “placed” or “used” by any of these labels? They are tough to reach but I am very confident that my music is up to the level required, if not above and beyond. Please let me know and keep doing your thing! This site is fantastic. Best wishes

I thought Girls’ Generation is under CUBE Entertainment? SM Entertainment and CUBE Entertainment are different companies but have the same owner or what? ( Sorry just a little bit confuse )

is YG entertaiment a main company that is from SM entertaiment? that is what I heard. It is just that YG became so successful that they are now known as themselve.

    • YG is its own separate company. It is not related to SMent whatsoever. Hope this helps!
