About SuMandu

I’ve decided to do a bit of updating on this, so here it goes.
I got the ‘codename’ Sumandu, very simply. My good friend started her own WordPress, and called herself, SiKimchi. it was adorable! (She really loves kimchi, you know!) since she stopped blogging, I decided to pick it up, and my first biases in groups were generally ones with chubby cheeks (Sooyoung, Wooyoung, Yoseob, Sohee) like the word, Mandoo meaning Dumplings, I stuck at the end of the first two letters of my name, Suri.
Um, haha, I’m now seventeen, my birthday being July 3rd, so I’m not much younger than the idols that I adore, thankfully, hehe. I live in America currently,but was born and raised in Japan . And ethnic wise I am German, Filipino, and Japanese. So no Korean in me at all, sadly. Hopefully one day, I can marry a Korean guy! haha.
Since this is my last year in high school, things have been going fast. I’m planning on studying Film in either New York or somewhere in Europe. But my far-fetch dream is to be a Kpop Idol, which I know will never happen. It’s not so much seeing my absolute favorite people, but dancing (somewhat singing) is a really big passion of mine. I’m pretty good, but I don’t have enough confidence to leave everything and go to Seoul. But I do believe in destiny!
Well, originally got into kpop in ’07 when I stumbled on Tell Me by the Wonder Girls on Youtube, and it set off from there.
My favorite groups and biases change from time to time so don’t be surprised if I say something strange from the normal. But I am not a hypocrite. And I am very honest and open-minded. I might defend my biases because I don’t like the hate, not because I don’t think somethings not true. I don’t mind the die-hards until they begin to bash. I can’t tolerate hate, and I will never bash any group. I especially don’t mind boy-boy, girl- girl, and boy-girl parings of any sort. And certainly, I don’t go insane when a girl is with my precious ‘oppa’, and sometimes the other way around.
My favorite groups right now are; Wonder Girls, SNSD, SHINee, BEAST, After School, Big Bang, and T-ARA.
I am an ex-Hottest, and no, I am not that much of a fan of DBSK and 2ne1, sorry.
My favorite idols are; Sooyoung, Jonghyun, Key, Sohee, Yoseob, IU, Jiyeon, Doojoon, Seungri, Hyosung, Lizzy, Taeyeon, Uee, Son Dambi, Luna, and Sunye. I do realize I have more female biases, but I can be picky with guys.
I used to be the ultimate fan of Jaebeom, but after he left 2pm, things were never the same, but that’s a subject I prefer not talking about anymore.
My favorite kpop pairing is Jongkey, I love it!

i’m sorry, but i don’t have a clue on any korean books. what i did to learn more of the korean language was watch plenty of korean shows and dramas. i can’t speak it perfectly but i have come to have a general knowledge of basic conversations.

Sumandoo why dont you like dbsk and 2ne1. 2ne1 and dbsk is the only boyband and girlband who can sing and dance well? There’s no group as perfect as dbsk and 2ne1 right?
i honestly do like both groups, just not love. i was late on DBSK, and so by the time i was going to start listening to them, they had already broken up. so it was hard to begin listening to them. i really love Changmin though, and he’s been a favorite of mine. 2ne1 just isn’t my cup of tea, i think all of them are really talented and probably more so than most girls in the industry, but their music is very mainstream, and i prefer pop like SNSD and other groups.

I agree with you little cutieshy. This site is very bad. The info is only about their bias. Like if you search tittle ‘happy birthday’, is only for snsd and their bias. This site is unpopular to as what you say. They only post celebrities’ profile so that this site got too many comments by those celebrities fans and now they think their site is popular by that thousand comments. But if i see at the celebrity individual site which was made by their own fans, they also post about their profile too. But your site is only old stuff that what you post is already knew by many people.Oh my baby authour you just same with LSM who always treat snsd well.
please stop, my site is popular in the sense of how many hits i get a day, not comments or anything. The site is only about my biases? the site is for the profiles of all groups, those posts towards Birthdays are for my biases because it’s on a personal account. the site is NOT for people who know everything about an idol group, but for people who just want to know little basic facts on a group, it’s not for anything other than that. i’m sorry if you think my site is bad, but no need to hurt my feelings…and yes i treat SNSD well, but i will never hurt any other group.

I honestly didn’t know there was a site like this,
i just got into Kpop and wanted a kpop profile site so i worked on one in the last 36 hours, while i was looking for group info my friend told me you had already done a similar site, so i didn’t want to start any online feuds so i stopped working on it right away.
But I worked so hard on the design (cause it was first time learning to use wordpress to blog)… I feel bad just leaving it, would it be wrong if I were to open it??
I would completely understand if you disapprove, even your fans would probably hate me.

honestly it is perfectly okay for you to open the site, i mean, you have obviously put enough effort into it that you’re actually asking my opinion (: i didn’t even know i had fans, to be honest, haha. and who knows, your site might even become better than mine! do as you please, kpop is for everyone.

why you are an ex-hottest? (:
*sigh* okay, it is sort of a long story. 2pm was my absolute favorite group- more than any other of my favorite groups- since their very first debut stage. i was just over every member, i loved them each and constantly listened to them. when they came out with Only You, Jaebeom instantly became my favorite, replacing Wooyoung~ but i still loved them all, and when their popularity exploded after Again&Again and Idol Army, i was so happy they got the recognition they deserved. Happy Bunny was the absolute greatest thing i have ever watched, practically dying of laughter every second. Then the news came about Jaebeom and his temporary leave. I was completely devastated, he was so close to my heart. but i held on and hoped for his return, i stayed true to all members- never turning back. but that day in September, when he announced his official leave, i lost it. when 2pm came out with Heartbeat, i almost cried during every performance. i tried to stay with them , but it wasn’t the same without the leader. they appeared fake to me, not the 2pm i once knew. i stuck with Jaebeom though when he went back to America, i watched his Youtube videos and everything. but i realized he was no longer the same now either. i wanted 2pm, not these two separate things. i fell in love with Park Jaebeom, NOT Jay Park. the two became foreign to me and could no longer look at either the same. Wooyoung, Junho, and Khun still have a place in my heart though, now.
sorry if this was long, i tried to shorten it and make it not-so whiny. 2pm is a sore topic for me, it pains me to think about all this.
okay. (: why just Khun, junho and Nichkhun. I love 2PM and i am happy that you made profiles of them. (:
well, Junsu has never been one of my favorites, but yeah. and after Jaebeom left, Taecyeon and Chansung changed the most in my opinion. Taec seemed to enjoy that all popularity went to him, and i just felt that Taec was satisfied with him leaving. Chansung never talked about how upset he truly was about Jaebeom’s leave. he felt very fake and that it didn’t matter to him. though i really don’t know how they felt, and it’s wrong to accuse, but this is how i felt as a Hottest. i honestly felt betrayed by all of them, though. Junho, to me, was the only one who seemed really hurt during the aftermath, and Khun and Wooyoung just simply regained my love.
oh and i don’t know 2PM since their first debute stag. i know them after Jaebeom left so i can’t judge it. 😀

Wow, as I was reading your info, I could not help but think of how similar we are. I’m seventeen and I don’t know if i’ll be any good at it. I don’t want to be a kpop idol but I do like the dancing and singing. I just wanted to know if i tried to be truly good if I have to start at a young age.
And i think you should go for being a kpop idol. Many of the companies hold auditions in America too like in New York so you should try it. You might want to be able to speak Korean though.
